Go Daddy Provides the Child Crisis Center with New Cribs

On June 21st, four Go Daddy employees, Paul Mullen, Steve Kirkland, Matt McLeod, and Iain Kenny donated their time, energy, and skills to setting up new cribs and disposing of the old ones for the Child Crisis Center in Mesa, AZ. They arrived early in the morning, removed the old cribs from the building, and with the help of Paul’s battery-powered saw, destroyed them, since they can’t be re-used due to liability reasons.

The foursome then unboxed and assembled 11 new cribs, ensuring all bolts were tightened and that the cribs were in place in the three baby rooms. The employees cleaned up their mess, filling the dumpster and even cleaning out the facility’s storage room to make space for the conversion pieces, tools, and instructions that can be used in the future to convert the cribs to toddler beds.

The Go Daddy volunteers stuck around to show the Child Crisis Center representatives how the cribs function, how future conversions are completed, how to register the cribs, and how to inspect them every few months to ensure they remain tight. As a rewarding end to the day, the staff provided a thorough and insightful tour of their facility and introduced the team to some of the children they assist. Said volunteer Iain Kenny of the event, “It was a good time, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to help out. The staff was great!!”
